Tina LaRosa is a folk, indie and pop singer and songwriter from East Hanover, New Jersey, now studying Songwriting at Berklee College of Music. She started writing at 12, after losing her mom, and has since released two albums, an EP and a run of singles on her own label, Radiate Positivity Records. Her songs are honest, specific and hopeful. She is currently working on a new album.

ABOUT TINA

In 2019, after her mom died unexpectedly, Tina picked up a ukulele her dad had given her and started writing songs to work through the grief. She wrote her first lyrics at 12. She hasn't stopped since.

Those early songs became Glass Half Full, a twelve song debut she released at 14. Just her and a ukulele. In 2023 she moved to guitar and released FTK, a three song EP about grief, with every dollar going to Experience Camps for Grieving Children. Her second album, Independent Artist, followed in March 2024. Seven songs about breakups, self worth and chasing a goal on her own terms. Singles Fool, Over It and Unsaid have kept the catalog moving.

Her writing sits where classic songcraft meets modern pop. She grew up on Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Billy Joel, Kenny Loggins and The Beatles, and draws just as much from John Mayer, Ed Sheeran and Lizzy McAlpine.

She learned to hold a room by busking summers on Long Beach Island, her mom's favorite place and the backdrop for much of her writing. She has since played 54 Below and The Bitter End in New York City and performs regularly across Northern New Jersey.

Off stage, Tina writes personalized songs for people in hospice through the nonprofit A Song For You. She helped launch GriefSucks.com, a grief platform for teens from Experience Camps, and contributed its founding content.

She is a Songwriting major at Berklee College of Music, class of 2029, and releases her music through her own label, Radiate Positivity Records. Anyone who has met her will tell you the name fits.
